A pen name? Probably. Even I don’t know for sure, and I’m the soundtrack composer and co-editor.

So who is Cory?

Maybe you’ll find out. The answer must be hidden somewhere in the corridors. (Or perhaps by now an AI can uncover Cory’s identity? Write to me if you know the answer!)

The soundtracks and their titles are my work. Tychonian Soundworks. Or simply: Ty. Also a pen name. But not one chosen for anonymity.

In a chat interview I conducted on the day the Korridorium ended with its final corridor (reprinted in the German paper edition), Cory talks about the original plan to accompany the corridors with illustrations, “photographs or drawings,” as well as the idea of “making the blog multilingual.” In a way, even though Cory considers the project finished, that vision has now become reality.

To celebrate the fifteenth anniversary of this highly unusual literary work, I have, with Cory’s kind permission, translated all 398 corridors into English. Some of them gave me quite a struggle. (Just have a look at corridor 182. Or 341.) By the way, the external links that Cory occasionally attached to the stories have been “translated” as well.

Also new for this anniversary remaster are the soundtrack cover images. To bring them a little more to life, I’ve enlisted two AI art critics to discuss them. (The reviews are available in English only.)

In the end, this has become a multimedia project created by two artists who, despite what Cory’s seventh corridor claims, have never met in person. Perhaps that’s one reason the Korridorium has never let go of me, and why I’ve always felt it deserved a larger audience.

The only question is: who?
